“Why do you humbug and not hear our cry? We have been asking for a missionary forever!”

— A man from Amto village in Papua New Guinea

The Vision:

To be a part of reaching the unreached in Papua New Guinea by planting a mature church and translating God’s Word into their language.

The Process

Learn language and culture

We learn the people’s language and culture so we can present them with God’s Word in the most clear form.

Teach Literacy

Many people groups in Papua New Guinea only have a verbal expression of their language. We develop an alphabet and teach the people how to read and write in their own language.

Teach God’s Word

We teach God’s Word in their language, from beginning to end. Once people come to understand and believe in Jesus as their savior, a church has been born.

Translate God’s Word

We don’t want to just teach people God’s Word, we want to actually give it to them. We go through a process of carefully translating the Word of God into the people’s language.

Disciple

We come alongside the believers as they are learning more about God, His Word, and how to apply it to their daily lives and relationships.

We continue to teach and disciple until the church has reached a level of maturity with established leaders. At that point, we will move out but will visit periodically and provide ongoing support and encouragement as needed.
