Our first month of home assignment started in Missouri spending time with family and friends and now we write to you from Atascadero, California. We have spent a month here with our home church, Atascadero Bible Church, as well as seeing some family and friends. We have been so encouraged by how welcoming the church has been since we have been back and we look forward to spending more time with them when we return from our summer travels. Mid April - mid July we will be traveling across the country visiting churches, supporters, family, and friends. We look forward to seeing many of you soon whom we haven’t seen yet! Here is a glimpse of our travels. We will be speaking at several churches and small groups so if you have one you would like us to share with about what God is doing in PNG and among the Uruwa people, please reach out to us!
Baby Thek due in September!
You may have already heard, but if not now you know! We are so excited to welcome a little baby Thek into the world! We are keeping the gender a surprise until the birth. It’s crazy to think that the Lord knows exactly who this precious child is even now as he is forming and shaping them. We look forward to meeting the little guy or girl and raising them to know and hopefully love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. And we know God will be teaching and growing us through the joys and difficulties of parenting as well!
Prayer and Praise
Praise the Lord for a wonderful time with family and friends in Missouri.
Praise the Lord for time with our church family here in Atascadero, CA and time we have had visiting some family in CA.
Praise the Lord for the Biola missions conference we got to attend and represent Ethnos360 at. We spoke with many students who were or who are now seriously considering how God can use them in the Great Commission through going or sending. Pray God will continue working on their hearts and that they will respond to his leading in their lives.
Pray for safety on the road on our travels, but that ultimately we would embrace whatever the Lord ordains with joy; that at each step we trust in Him weather we are stuck roadside or don’t encounter a single snag that is vehicle related. Pray that God will use this time to inspire many others to risk it all for the sake of the gospel.
Pray that we would take hold of each moment during this season to capture it to be used for the kingdom.
Pray for Jess and baby Thek to remain healthy and for a smooth delivery in September and for us as we adjust to becoming parents.
Pray for the continued strengthening of our walks with the Lord as well as our marriage. We are attending a marriage retreat May 2-4. Join us in praying that God will use this retreat to grow us closer to him and to one another.
